It is a common misconception in the community that the City of Bloomington and the Cultural District have absorbed the Arts Center. In truth, we continue to be an independent non-profit organization dependent upon community support for our survival.   The Arts Center did not receive any monies from the initial $18.5 Million tax to establish the Cultural District.  Yet,  the Arts Center supportively participated in the Cultural District's recent fundraising campaign, and the 10% we receive for our participation will allows us to address some long standing deferred maintenance issues. The bottom line remains our membership support and involvement are essential for the success of the day to day operations involved with providing high quality exhibitions and classes to our community.

We’ll be having a number of exciting exhibitions this season and I encourage you to participate in our many upcoming events.  Your support and involvement is valued. Our community depends on the services and opportunities the McLean County Arts Center provides. To fulfill our mission and expand the quality of life with our arts programming, we look to your investment in our creative community.

Thanks!
