McLean County Arts Center (MCAC) comes alive for the Holidays with the highest quality artwork from over 100 artists. Holiday shoppers wait in anticipation of what new and exciting work will be available to them this season. With average sales of more than $22,000 and 2,500 people attending, this is a great sales opportunity.

To ensure superior quality in the exhibition, we are asking all artists to submit photographs or digital images of their work with their application form. We can accept digital images via email (holiday@mcac.org) or burned onto a CD. The application deadline is September 22. Applications will be reviewed and juried, and notifications will be mailed by September 29.

If you are accepted your notification will contain an acceptance letter, inventory sheet, and MCAC Exhibiting Artist membership form. Please complete the inventory sheet provided and do not substitute this form. All exhibiting artists must be members of the McLean County Arts Center. The Exhibiting Artist memberships are only $20 per year.

Once you receive your acceptance notification, please call to schedule an appointment to deliver or to let us know if you will be shipping your work. WORK CANNOT BE DROPPED OFF WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT! Work will be accepted in person October 9-13, and October 16-18. Shipped artwork must be received by October 18. Ship to: MCAC, 601 N. East St., Bloomington, IL 61701, Attn: Holiday Treasures.

After Holiday Treasures, please call to schedule on appointment to collect any unsold work (shipped work will be returned in the same manner as received). MCAC will not be responsible for lost or damaged pieces after January 13. You may elect to have your work considered for consignment in MCAC’s Sales Gallery by checking the box on the application form.

Here are some suggested guidelines:

CERAMICS/GLASS (8-20 pieces)
Must state type of clay used, if oven, microwave or dishwasher safe, and safe to use with food.
* Suggested Price Range: $15-$45

WOOD/FIBERS (3-5 pieces)
Must state type of materials used and care instructions.
* Suggested Price Range: $35-$50

JEWELRY/METALS (8-20 pieces)
All jewelry must be attached to cards/tags, stating metal content and other materials used.
* Suggested Price Range: $15-$50

PAINTING/DRAWING/PRINTMAKING/PHOTOGRAPHY (4-6 pieces)
Must be framed and ready to hang, with medium, dimensions, and title listed.
* Suggested Price Range: $50-$300

FURNITURE/SCULPTURE (3-5 pieces)
Must state materials used.
* Suggested Price Range: $75-$300

*NOTE: When pricing items for sale, remember that the MCAC works on a 60/40% commission (artists receive 60%).

Suggested price ranges are based on sales from previous years.
 

Artists accepted for exhibition will receive a complementary ticket to the Gala opening on November 9th.
